These videos and your work and that of your crew have rocked my world. I'm a 58 year old woman who has never stood up on a board. I rode a great wave from beyond the steps to the shoreline at Cowell's once, and that was enough for me. But living, working and playing in Santa Cruz means the ocean is an integral part of my quality of life, whether I'm in the water or not. I'm also an activist, mostly a union organizer, so I understand the power of involvement and commitment. For a while now I've worried that people my age have destroyed two big things in our world: first, the natural world, the planet and all that goes with that: we've polluted the land, water and air and are handing off a poisoned world to those coming behind us, like Kyle. Second, I've stressed over what has sometimes looked like a complete end to follow-up generations getting active, following their passion, working to change and improve our world, no matter what part of "the world" we define that as. Going through this website, watching all of the films, reading, I am heartened and convinced that we can set the world right again with activists like Kyle Thiermann and his crew. It's been pretty amazing to realize that people younger than me get the connections between money as power, people as power. I salute and appreciate your work. I'm looking for ways to make modest contributions to the work you do. Please tell me how I can help support you going forward and keeping this great work going.
